Solr is increasingly becoming a defacto search engine for Sitecore Implementations because of it’s performance, features, customizability and scalability. However, if Solr is not configured or used appropriately, applications sometimes notice performance problems.
Some of the Apache Solr versions are more highly recommended than others, based on features, known bugs, and security. (We don’t offer versions with known security issues.)
You can create a new Solr deployment by signing up for a 14-day free trial account OR by creating a new deployment in your existing account.
If you’d like to upgrade your existing deployments, feel free to reach out to support@searchstax.com. We will be happy to explain your options and upgrade path.
We’re pleased to announce that Apache Solr Versions 6.6.3, 6.6.6, and 8.3.1 are now available on all SearchStax plans. This brings the list of available Solr versions up to an even dozen! See the full list of supported Apache Solr Versions in the SearchStax documentation.
